Makeup can help us hide our flaws but in order to really overcome them, we should learn how to take care of our skin.

Skin care is essential, but we should know how to survive without those high-end skin care products available in the market. It’s easy to think that just because they are of a certain price, they can definitely help us reduce our skin problems but this where we go wrong.

There are several natural recipes that can help us achieve softer, healthier bright looking skin. If you are going to take out some time from your busy schedules to pamper yourself, you would want to feel and notice a positive difference in your skin afterwards. Here are some natural facemask recipes, which are easy to follow:

Banana and Honey

Using various natural ingredients, we can create facemasks at home. These natural ingredients could include eggs, honey, lemon, tomatoes, yogurt, green tea leaves and brown sugar. One of the most basic recipes to make a facemask for dry skin would be to use half a banana, two tablespoons of honey and half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder. All you have to do is crush the banana until a paste is formed and then just add the other two ingredients to it. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then wash your face.

Brown Sugar

At some point in life, everyone suffers from dull and flaky skin especially in winters. Brown sugar is an amazing exfoliator to remove dead skin particles piling up on your skin. This mask does not only help reduce our pores but also has hydrating properties. Take one tablespoon of brown sugar, grind it until the particles become small, mix it up with water and then boil this mixture for a few minutes and then add one tablespoon of honey. Let the mask completely cool down for a few minutes before you start applying it on your face. Apply it on your face for 5 minutes and then rinse it with water while massaging your skin in circular movements.

Green Tea

All kinds of herbal teas have several benefits; they do not only increase our metabolic rate resulting in weight loss but also help improve our skin problems. People who have oily skin will love this recipe because green tea leaves help clear out our skin impurities and provide a healthy looking glow. Boil some green tea leaves until the water evaporates to form tea. Add some flour to this tea until a thick paste forms and when this paste cools down, add some honey to it and apply it directly to your face. Apply it for 30 minutes and then rinse your face.

There are many ingredients that could be used to create these natural homemade masks but you to need to see which mask works best for your skin type. Do your research and do a patch test on a smaller area of your skin to see if it causes any irritation. Try to use these masks 2-3 times a week for optimum results. However, if you are undergoing a particular skin condition, it is recommended to consult with a dermatologist first.
